Mrs. Alice Pelletier beloved wife of the late Bill Pelletier of Yorkton passed away at home surrounded by her family on July 23, 2013, she was 88 years old. Alice Pelletier (Martin) was born on July 10, 1925 at San Clara, MB, a daughter of Phillion and Beatrice (nee LaFreniere) Martin. On July 22, 1961 she was united in marriage to Bill Pelletier at San Clara, MB. Predeceased by her husband Bill Pelletier, her parents Phillion and Beatrice Martin, her sisters, Olive, Lillian, Annette, Irene, Noella and her brother Lloyd. She leaves to mourn her passing, Joseph (Velma) Pelletier of Yorkton, SK, Darlene (Kevin) Lovell of Didsbury, AB, Ida (Gary) Vincent of Halifax, NS, Sandra (Edward) Littlechief of WhiteBear First Nations, Brian (Linda) Pelletier of Yorkton, SK, Janice (Eli) Pelletier of Kennedy, SK, Wyman (Suzi) Pelletier of Yorkton, SK, Joey (Candace) Pelletier of Yorkton, SK. Also 28 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren, four brothers, Fred (Judy) Martin, Leo (Rosie) Martin, Leonard (Bertha) Martin, Edward Martin, one sister, Georgeline (Freddy) Paul. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Alice was a devoted mother who raised her children along with her grandchildren, Travis and Desiree. She also had great grandson, Taylor living with her before her passing. She loved shopping, garage sales and socializing. Alice never went anywhere in the house without her phone. She loved going for ice cream, taking drives in the country and listening to country music. A Vigil service was held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, July 26, 2013 from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father Francis Hengen as the Celebrant. The crossbearer was Bev Engle.The lectors were Jo Anne Dickson and Serena Grams. Honorary Bearers were Shirley Ward, Jo Anne Dickson, Bev Engle, Helen Govan, Theresa Lizon, Louise Gregory, Darlene Langan, Lucille Pritchard, Yvonne Pelletier, Jeff Brazeau and all those who also shared in Alice's life. Interment followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Kyle Pelletier, Lee Seaton, Matthew Lovell, Derek Langan, Travis Pelletier, Taylor Seaton, Challen Littlechief and Eli Tokohopie serving as the pall bearers. Memorials in memory of Alice may be made to Yorkton Home Care as gifts of remembrance.
