Carol Peepeetch of Yorkton passed away suddenly on April 7, 2014 at her residence at the age of 56 years. Carol Yvonne Peepeetch was born at Grenfell, SK on June 10, 1957, the daughter of Russell Wahpooseyan and Christine Peepeetch. She was raised on Sakimay First Nation and educated at Marievale School and then lived in Winnipeg, Regina and made Yorkton her final home. She was blessed with three children. Carol was a reserved individual who enjoyed visiting, shopping, reading and spending time with friends and family. She held a special bond with her youngest son Joshua. Travelling was also important to Carol where she made numerous friends. She really enjoyed and spent many hours listening to satellite radio. Her greatest enjoyment came from being a regular visitor of the Casino. She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Kevin James Peepeetch of Yorkton, Joshua Daniel Peepeetch of Whistler, BC and Johnathan James McArthur of White Bear First Nation; a sister & brother-in-law Shelley Peepeetch (Brian Brown) of Whistler, BC; nephew Shane Peepeetch of Regina, Gregory Peepeetch of Vancouver, Michael Steven-Francis of Saskatoon, nieces Ashley, Jennifer; aunts Joyce, Delores, Corrine; uncles Cameron, Lloyd, Spencer, aunts Janet, Hazel, Viola, Leona , Selena, Vera "Baby Anne"; uncle Roy, cousin Loretta, Patsy, Priscilla; and other close friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her parents, Russell and Christine; sister Frances and two brothers Neil and Ryan; grandparents Ruby and Edward Wahpooseeyan and Clara Walters; uncles Frank, Greg; great aunt Velma; and niece Kelly. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Yorkton Friendship Centre with Pastor Rick Flamont of Grace River Mission officiating.
