Florence Geraldine Pawluck

Florence Geraldine Pawluck passed away very peacefully, with her daughters by her side, on February 1, 2016, at the age of 92 years. She was born on May 28, 1923, the eleventh of twelve children in the family of Joseph and Teresa (nee Nagy) Parrott. Florence grew up and lived in Yorkton for 90 years, when she moved from her beloved Peaker Avenue home to Regina to be closer to family. Growing up in the Depression and WWII, she appreciated the simple treasures of life. She played numerous sports, but especially loved skating and biking. Florence spent many hours in her "racers" at the rinks in Yorkton and rode many miles in the countryside with those most dear, her family and friends. She was very thoughtful of others, giving generously to many causes and taking great care to find that perfect card for every occasion in the lives of her loved ones. Florence was a devout member of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Yorkton since the early 1930's and actively filled many roles in her 80 plus years as parishioner there. Florence was predeceased by her parents and all eleven of her siblings. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory, her two daughters, Louise (Rob) Heinrichs and Teresa (Darryl) Louis; her grandsons, Andrew (Kiera) Heinrichs and James Heinrichs as well as three sisters-in-law, Mary (Michael) Popowich, Lorna (Edwin) Parrott and Betty (Gerald) Parrott and numerous nieces and nephews. At Florence's request, a Grave Side Service will be held in the Yorkton City Cemetery, Yorkton, SK in the spring of 2016. Memorial Donations in Florence's honour may be made to the Salvation Army. Friends so wishing may forward their condolences to the family by visiting www.christiesfuneralhome.com. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Christie's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
