In memory of Peter John Oleck, who was born on July 7, 1920 and passed away on January 1, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Peter passed away peacefully at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre with his family at his side. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary Oleck; his son, Denis; his daughter-in-law, Diana; sons-in-law, Howard and Kasimir; his siblings, Catherine, Ferne, Jenny, Edward and infant sister, Pauline. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his wife of 66 years, Anne; his daughters, Barbara and Jackie; his grandchildren, Kirk (Sheri), Charmaine (James), Michelle (Cameron), Clint (Beth), Erin (Clint); his two great-grandsons, Payton and Jaron; his sister, Elizabeth (Ian) and many other friends and family. The Prayer Service was held on Monday, January 6, 2014 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK. with Father Raymond Lukie, C.Ss.R. officiating. The Requiem Divine Liturgy was sung on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Yorkton, SK. with Father Raymond Lukie, C.Ss.R. officiating. The responses were led by Mr. Ed Pindus and members of the Yorkton Ukrainian Catholic Choir. The Cross Bearers were Payton and Jaron Weinmaster and the Epistle was read by Charmaine Tomyn. The Interment Service followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Kirk Weinmaster, Dennis Mysko, Clint Weinmaster, Gene Petryshyn, Ian Hartle and Eugene Kobelka serving as the casket bearers.
