Mr. Ted Muzyka, beloved husband of Sonya Muzyka of Tonkin passed away at his home on April 5, 2014 (the day after his 70th birthday). Ted was born in Glenavon, SK on April 4, 1944 to William and Julia (nee Kulacz) Muzyka. He was the last surviving child of their twelve children. Ted is predeceased by his parents and all his siblings. Ted provided for his family working in the auto body repair business. He loved working on all kinds of vehicles. This was a trait he passed on to his boys. He met and married his wife, Sonya Johnson, in 1967. They had four children; Cory, Gary & Gail (twins) and Lisa. They were later blessed with two beautiful grandchildren; Mark and Mackenzie. Dad was proud of his family. He loved to ski-doo with his sons and grandson. As a hobby, they'd rebuild old snowmobiles and garden tractors. He and Mom loved helping their daughters and granddaughter with their homes and gardens. When the work was done, we'd all gather for barbeques and wiener roasts to enjoy our backyards. He spent quality time with his wife, family and friends. They'd do everything they could to help each other, their kids, grandkids and their kids' pets, too! He looked forward to Sonya's holiday meals of turkey, cabbage rolls and the works! Dad was happy to have his entire family gathered together (including their dog, Abby and cat, Max). These are our fondest memories. Dad was proud of his family. He helped Cory build their garages in Tonkin. They'd sit by the garage and enjoy a cup of coffee while visiting. They would tour places to check out vintage snowmobiles and other vehicles. Growing up we'd go snowmobiling, camping, swimming, and play cards. This tradition continued with his grandkids. Ted leaves to honor and cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 46 years, Sonya (nee Johnson) Muzyka of Tonkin, SK., son Cory of Tonkin, son Gary Muzyka of Theodore, SK., daughters Gail and Lisa Muzyka of Theodore, grandchildren Mark and Mackenzie Muzyka of Yorkton, SK., along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Whenever we needed help or advice, we'd talk to Dad. He will be greatly missed, always loved, and never forgotten! A Memorial Service was held Monday, Apr. 14, 2014 at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey, Certified Celebrant officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.baileysfuneralhome.com.
