Mrs. Edith Morgan passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Lakeside Manor Care Home in Saltcoats, SK. She was 107 years of age. Edith was born on February 24, 1906 in Norfolk, England. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Bill in 1969. She leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, her daughters, Jean Morgan, Sheila (Ron) Clark of Saltcoats, SK; Barb (Jim) Martens of Falun, AB; her granddaughters, Tracey (Mike) Benedictson of Surrey, BC, Tara Williams of New Westminister, BC; great-granddaughters, Nicole and Chelsea Benedictson and great-grandson, Atticus Williams of New Westminister, BC as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held on Friday, July 19, 2013 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Reverend Walter Farquharson officiating. The organist, Mr. Lorne Neal, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "The Lord's My Shepherd", "All Things Bright and Beautiful" and "Abide With Me". Ministry in song was shared by friends from the Church of God in Christ (Mennonite) and by Edith's son-in-law, Jim Martens who sang, "Come Back to Me". The Interment Service followed in the Saltcoats Town Cemetery with Robert Morgan, James Morgan, Royce Morgan, Jack Dawes, Lorne DeJaeger and Lorne Holland serving as the casket bearers.
