Anna Lysenko passed away quietly, with her family by her side on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Gateway Lodge in Canora, SK. She was 92 years of age. Anna Lysenko (nee Partasonak) was born on May 6, 1921 in Poland. She moved to Germany in 1939. In 1945, she met and married her beloved husband, Wolodimir (Walter). From this union came two daughters, Valerie and Laurie. The family immigrated to Canada in 1953 and settled in Nakina, ON. Anna was truly devoted to her family. She made the most of all she had. During the spring and summer she worked in her garden, and delighted in the first sign of plants poking from the ground. The harvesting everything at the peak of perfection. In the winter months, there was time to knit and sew for her family. After her daughters left home, Anna went to work as a Custodian for the public school system. She took great pride in her work, always doing her best. Anna moved to Yorkton in 1987, where she enjoyed working in her church and many other charities. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Walter and her daughter, Laurie. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Valerie (Wilfred) Winand; son-in-law, Wally Goodman; her six grandchildren, Glenda Bernier (Goodman), Robert Goodman, Gary (Grace) Goodman, Carolyn (Terry) Bleier, Audra Winand and Keith Winand; her great-grandchildren, Austin, Duncan, Jade, Matthew, Kaitlin, Cody and Brittanny. She will be sadly missed by her family and well as her many friends and acquaintances. A Grave Side Funeral Service was held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Yorkton City Cemetery, Yorkton, SK with Reverend Devon Pattemore officiating.
