Norman William Liebreich passed away, suddenly and peacefully, at his home on Friday, February 26, 2016, at the age of 89 years. He left this world just as if by choice and design, quickly, quietly and without any fan fare. Those who knew him would agree that he had the perfect passing, virile and vibrant to his last moments. Norman was born on June 28, 1926 at the family homestead in the Whitesand District, the son of Adolph and Olga (nee Schweichler) Liebreich. He grew up beside the Whitesand River and attended the Whitesand School. Norman met Lovey (nee Kozlow) when she was teaching at Whitesand School. They married on August 11, 1961 and were blessed with two sons, Warren in 1962 and Trent in 1965. Norman was predeceased by his parents, Olga and Adolph; his brothers, Ralph, Edmund, Herbert, Ervin and Mervin. He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Lovey; his sons, Warren and Trent (Janelle); grandchildren, Macy, Garrett and Carson; his sisters, Beatrice (Ernie) Gadd and Violet McLachlan as well as his nieces, nephews, other relatives on Lovey's side of the family and many good friends. A Service to Celebrate Norman's Life was held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Kathy Novak serving as the Funeral Celebrant. Special taped music selections included "Shall We Gather at the River", "Too Old To Die Young" and "Precious Memories".
