Lydia Liebrecht

Lydia Liebrecht (nee Damm), resident of the Yorkton and District Nursing Home passed away on December 14, 2014 at the age of 100. Lydia was born on April 17, 1914 on a family farm near Culbertson, MT, a daughter of Conrad and Anna Damm. Lydia was married to Solomon Liebrecht November 4, 1931. Lydia was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her siblings, Jacob, Alex E., Molly, Mollie, John, Kathryn, Marie, Constine, Martin and George. Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her sister, Anna Luft, her sister-in-law, Amy Damm, her daughters, Doreen (Robert) Vandermeulen and Betty (John) Hnatiuk, her son, Larry (Donna) Liebrecht; grandsons, Ron (Phyllis) Vandermeulen, Terry (Maureen) Hnatiuk, Mark (Allie) Liebrecht, Greg (Stacy) Liebrecht; granddaughters, Loretta (Ralph) Vandermeulen, Shirley (Rick) Nagy, Tracy Liboiron, Tammy Boyce; her great-grandchildren, Curtis (Krista) Vandermeulen, Chad (Ronda) Vandermeulen, Eddie Grikinis, Kevin Nagy, Rein Nagy, Micheal Nagy, Chelsea Liboiron, Aliesha Liboiron, Shane Boyce, Dillon Hnatiuk, Brennan Hnatiuk, Abby Liebrecht and five great-great-grand children. Funeral Services were held on Friday, December 19, 2014 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Pastor Fred Schneider officiating. The organist, Carla Laycock, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Just a Closer Walk With Thee", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace".
