LESANN - Victoria Claire

Victoria Claire (nee Perrinet) LeSann was born in Margo, Saskatchewan on October 10, 1915, and passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Orkney House in the Yorkton & District Nursing Home. Victoria lived in Margo until 1919, when she moved to Hoey, SK with her parents. There she had most of her schooling before finishing her education at the Convent in Prince Albert. In 1938 she married Marcel LeSann and farmed in Hoey until 1944, when the family moved back to the Theodore district, where they purchased the Allan LeSann farm. In 1948 the family moved to Springside to send the children to school. Victoria loved to curl, in 1951 she helped organize the ladies curling in Springside, becoming the first treasurer for the club. In 1959 Victoria helped to organize the 4-H Club, becoming one of the first leaders. In 1963 Marcel & Victoria built a new home on the farm and moved back there. In 1967 they bought a home in Yorkton and resided there until 1970, when they moved back to Springside. In 1980 Marcel passed away. In 1981 Victoria moved to Yorkton, where she made her home at Queen Elizabeth Court. There she enjoyed doing handi-work (knitting & crocheting) and card games. She went on many tours throughout Canada and the USA. She belonged to the Retired Citizens Club at St. Gerard's Church and held the position of President for 2 ½ years until ill health forced her retirement. Predeceased by her parents; husband Marcel (1980); son Dennis (1946); son Raymond (1996); daughter Jacqueline (1974); daughter-in-law Phyllis (2004); and her sister Alice Fauchoux. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Noelle (Grant) Schrader of Yorkton; grandchildren: Michelle (Kelly) Minken; Richard LeSann; Corinne (Philip) Smith; Keith (Moira) Schrader; five great grandchildren: Stacey Minken (Jodi Senchuk); Garett Minken; Tanner LeSann, Cole & Hayden Smith; step great grandchildren: Dakota & MacKenzie Jones; a great great granddaughter, Brylee Senchuk; niece, Lea Adams; and nephews: Joe, Victor & Louis Fauchoux. Condolences may be left at baileysfuneralhome.com. Family & friends are invited to the Funeral Mass for Victoria, to be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11:00am at St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton. The interment will take place in the family plot in the Garden of Crucifixion at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home.
