Tammy Lemcke was born in Regina on February 21, 1972. She spent her childhood and adolescence growing up there, and moved away when she met the love of her life, Gerald. "Love at first sight" is how you could explain their story, and in their fairytale they were married on November 6, 1994. Married for almost 20 years, Gerald and Tammy were a model of how marriage and parenthood should be, and Tammy leaves a legacy for all of us to follow. Tammy's family was her life, and she leaves many of them to celebrate her even now that she is gone: Gerald - her beloved husband; Michael and Dylan - her wonderful sons; her father, Joseph Kobialko; her mother, Francine Kobialko; her brothers, Byron (Marie-Helene) and Brandon (Sherri) and their families; Gerald's parents, Don (Rita) Lemcke and his siblings, Rodney (Patty), Brian (Sonja), Debbie (Gary), Kelly (Monique) and their families. Tammy was entrepreneurial at heart. She managed hotels, ran restaurants, was a sales representative for many years, and as of the last number of years Tammy and Gerald owned and operated many successful businesses. Tammy's diligence, drive and determination not only led her to success in her corporate world, but were also part of what made her an incredible wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Tammy leaves with us all a longing for her presence, but also an understanding of how we need to live life to the fullest. More than anyone, Gerald, Michael and Dylan smile knowing that even though their time was cut short, they were blessed with the love, passion and incredible wisdom their wife and mother imparted on them. A Celebration of Tammy's life was held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, Sk with Kathy Novak serving as the Funeral Celebrant. Special taped music selections included "Let It Be" by the Beatles as a processional; as well as "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers and "The End" by Pearl Jam that were played during a power point presentation of Tammy's life in photos. Words of tribute and eulogy were shared by Tammy's brothers, Byron and Brandon Kobialko and her uncle, Ervin Kobialko. Family friend, Terry Mah, shared a special tribute written by Tammy's husband, Gerald. A private family cremation committal will take place at a later date. Friends so wishing may make donations in Tammy's name to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Soup Haven as tokens of remembrance.
