It is with great sadness and loss that Nancy's (Harriett Annie) family announces her passing on January 4, 2013. Nancy passed away very peacefully, surrounded by her family. Nancy was born to Henry and May Bartlett on December 29, 1921 in Yorkton, SK. Nancy graduated from High School in 1939, then went to Normal Schools in Regina and Saskatoon, SK in 1941 to 1944. She taught school in Saskatchewan from 1942 to 1952 and again briefly substituted in Kamloops, BC in 1973. On August 16, 1951, Nancy married the love of her life, Gordon Kyle. Together they raised their family, Douglas, Sandra, Jayne, and Elaine. In 1972, Nancy and Gordon moved from Yorkton, SK. to Kamloops, BC. They annually made trips to Saskatoon and back to the farm in Yorkton, visiting family and relatives on the way. Nancy helped with the fall garden harvest at the farm, being in Yorkton was always very special for Nancy. She leaves to mourn: her son Douglas (Leona) of Victoria; daughters, Sandra (Bob) Beattie of Saskatoon, Jayne (Brendan) Martin and Elaine (Dan) Erickson of Kamloops; her cherished grandchildren, Christina (Geoff), Heather (Stephane), Ashley, Melissa (David), Stephanie (Jason), Kimberly, Kyle (Trisha), Danny and Andrew; her cherished great grandchildren, Jamie, Tava, Casey and Sophie. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister; Sylvia (Russell) Bischop, sister-in-law; Mildred Bartlett; brother, Rob (Marlene) Bartlett, all of Yorkton, along with many relatives and friends who loved her. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Kyle; parents Henry and May Bartlett; parents-in-law, William and Carrie Kyle; sister and brother-in-law, Catherine (George) Kyle; brother, Henry Bartlett; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charlie (Barbara) Kyle; nephew, Kerry Bartlett and niece Cheryl Kyle. A service celebrating Nancy's life was held January 12, 2013 at Kamloops United Church. On Saturday, August 10, 2013 the Cremation Committal will take place at 2:00 pm at the Yorkton City Cemetery and at 3:00 pm a Celebration of Life Tea will be held at the Tonkin Curling Rink.
