With sadness, the family of Bruce Kryba announce his passing on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the age of 67 years. Bruce Almer Kryba was born on November 23, 1946 in Regina, SK, the son of William and Regina (nee Hoffart) Kryba. Shortly after Bruce's birth, the family moved to a farm in the Eden District, near Saltcoats, SK. Bruce attended Eden School and completed his Grade 12 at Saltcoats. Bruce married Esther Toth on October 15, 1966 in Yorkton, SK. They were blessed with the births of two children, Vince and Carolyn. They made their home in Yorkton where Bruce worked at a variety of jobs over the years including Western Grocers, Morris Rod Weeder and in the Dietary Department of the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. Bruce and Esther moved back to the family farm in 1987 and when he retired in 2009, Bruce enjoyed spending even more time on his perfectly manicured lawn. A true outdoorsman, Bruce loved to camp, hunt and fish. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Any time that he could combine time spent with friends and family to hunt or fish were the best of all. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, William and Regina as well as his brother, Howard. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Esther; his son, Vince; his daughter, Carolyn (Joe Glencross) as well as two grandpuppies, Homer and Tazzmin. A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Kathy Novak serving as the Funeral Celebrant. Special taped music selections included "Just As I Am" as sung by Alan Jackson, "How Great Thou Art" as sung by Johnny Cash and "There's a Tear in My Beer" as sung by Hank Williams and Hank Williams Jr. The cremation committal service took place at Yorkton Memorial Gardens.
