Albin James Knezacek was born in Esterhazy on December 21, 1935. He was one of seven children born to William and Emma Knezacek. Albin lived his childhood years in the Esterhazy area and then moved into Yorkton where he and his wife Alice (nee Friesen) raised their seven children, Dennis, Donna, Donald, Ardell, Brenda, Bernice and Darwin. Albin spent many years as a professional painter, his hobbies involved working on cars and a passion for fixing anything with a small engine. Albin was known for his love of country music, with favourites like Johnny Cash and Charlie Pride, and he showed this through his love for dancing. Albin was also well known for his love of telling jokes. Whenever you talked to him, he had a funny joke to make you smile and laugh. As Albin slowed down in life, he loved to have coffee with his friends Clive, Gerald and Don. Albin was very close to his younger brother David Knezacek, who came to town to visit and go for coffee. Albin will be missed by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Albin passed on December 18, 2015, just three days before his 80th birthday in the comfort of his home with his partner of many years Corrine Bryan. A small private service was held for family and friends to say their goodbyes on December 22, 2015 at Bailey's Funeral Home. Sons and Daughters, if you have a Dad, give him the gift of love and forgiveness…..give him the gift of Christmas, call him and wish him a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. It is with hope and faith that our Dad was received by Jesus Christ the Lord into Heaven for Eternity.
