Sharon Marie Kishalowich. April 12, 1955 - February 4, 2016. Sharon was the first of two children born to Mike and Nettie Elaschuk on April 12, 1955 in Yorkton, SK. Sharon passed away at the St.Anthony's Hospital in Esterhazy after her fight with cancer on Feb. 4, 2016. Sharon grew up in Wroxton, SK where she worked at her family ran service station. From an early age she has been a natural at working with the public, with her easy going attitude and infectious smile. It is here that she started dating Borden, who was hired as a mechanic at the family business. Sharon graduated from Yorkton Regional High School in 1972 and left to attend hair dressing school in Saskatoon, SK. Before completing school, Sharon returned to Wroxton after her father's passing to help run the family business. On August 17, 1974 Sharon married Borden Kishalowich in Wroxton. From there they moved to Esterhazy to build their family home. Together they raised their 3 children. In 1995 Sharon opened up her own store Kreative Konnections. For 10 years she thrived at being her own boss and using her journeyman of Hospitality & Tourism and accepted the position of front desk supervisor at the Canalta hotel in Esterhazy. In recent years Sharon was able to travel and enjoyed cruises around the world, from Alaska to the Caribbean and Italy. Sharon was a multi-talented woman who enjoyed many hours of crafting and was an amazing cook and baker. Sharon was a kind, compassionate woman who could bring a smile to anyone's face. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will forever be missed. Sharon was predeceased by her father, Mike Elaschuk and father-in-law Mike Kishalowich. Left to cherish Sharon's memory are her husband Borden Kishalowich, Sons Dean Kishalowich (Kim), Aidan, Dylan, Kohl - Brent Kishalowich (Tara); Daughter Aimee Sherstaitoff (bret); Mother and Step Father Nettie & Tom Bates; brother Wayne Elaschuk (Maryann); Mother-in-law Olga Kishalowich: Sister-in-law Donna Diduck (Greg); brother-in-law Russell Kishalowich (Sharon Fabrick). Step sisters Candy MacLeod (Matt) - Penny Perpeluk (Dave) - Pat Kingery (Bill); step brother Kevin Bates (Cathy).Also left to cherish Sharon's memory are many cousins, nieces, nephew, close friends and co-workers. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and hospital staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina, Pasqua Hospital in regina and St. Anthony's hospital in Esterhazy for the compassion and care they showed Sharon and our family through this difficult time. Funeral Mass for Sharon Marie Kishalowich was at Our Lady of Voctories Roman Catholic Church, Esterhazy, SK on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016. Father Antony Bruno as the Celebrant. The organist Joan Petracek led in the hymns 'Be Not Afraid', 'Father of Peace', 'You Are Near', and 'Amazing Grace'. The readers were Deanna Rogalski and Pauline Chewka. The gift Bearers were Katherine Lysak & Kaylee Diduck. Altar Servers were: Arnold Petracek, Leonard Knourek, Bill Pozniak and Joe Lippai. Pall bearers were Andrew Schwitzer, Brad Romanchook, Earl Nickell, Barry Brown, Dale Jeannot and Danny Sherstabitoff. Honourary Pall Bearers were all in attendance. Interment followed in Yorkton Memorial Gardens, Yorkton, SK. Donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society as tokens of remembrance.
