It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Dennis Daniel Kereluk, age 66 years, husband of Joanne and father of Sheldon. Dennis passed away on November 18, 2013, at his home, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Dennis was born on August 9, 1947, the son of Metro and Ann Kereluk. He was raised on the family farm near Rhein and attended Vionne School. He was united in marriage to Joanne Staigh, with whom he shared 45 years of married life. They were blessed with one son, Sheldon. Dennis began his working career at Morris Industries where he remained for 38 years until retiring in 2011. He gained many lasting friendships with his co-workers. Dennis enjoyed cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs, gardening and collecting antiques (the more rusty, the better!). Predeceased by his parents, Metro and Ann and his sister, Violet Eccleston; Dennis leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Joanne and son, Sheldon; brothers, Edwin (Betty) of Parksville, BC and Terry (Bev) of Sherwood Park, AB; brother-in-law, Wayne of Fort Saskatchewan, AB as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In accordance with Dennis' wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family committal service will take place at a later date.
