Paul Samuel Kashuba was born April 27, 1925 in the Hazel Dell district, he passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 88 years. Paul is lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Mary (nee Kwasny); his son, Howard (Traci) Kashuba and children Curtis, Clayton, Jillyn of Zehner, SK; his son, Daniel (Jackie) Kashuba and children Nicholas (Michelle), Michael of Regina, SK; his daughter, Loretta Iris and children Victoria, Jessica, Deklan Iris-Hoscheit of Saskatoon, SK; his son, Terence (Tracy) Kashuba and children Ryan, Chelsie, Jonathon, Serenity, Paris of Lloydminster, SK; his daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Brink of Ann Arbor, Michigan USA; his sister, Ann Ewaschuck of Prince Albert, SK.; and by his sister-in-law Francis. Paul is predeceased by his parents Wassel and Isobel (nee Antonio) Kashuba; his brothers, Metro (Pauline), John (Olive), and Alec; his sisters Pauline, Mary, Alice (Mike) Zayachkowski, and Lena (William) Kozak. Paul worked for the Department of Highways for 33 years and after his retirement, enjoyed gardening, telling stories, and watching his 13 grandchildren grow. The Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Paul's life was held on Friday July 12, 2013 from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church, Yorkton, SK with Reverend Father Francis Hengen serving as the Celebrant. The pianist, Allison Kruger, assisted by the St. Gerard's Parish Choir led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Morning Has Broken", "Psalm 33", "I Believe In The Sun", "The Prayer of St. Francis", "Song of The Angels" and "Lord Jesus of You Will I Sing". The interment followed in the Springside Town Cemetery with Paul's grandchildren serving as the pallbearers.
