Jenna Marie Hunt

Jenna Marie Hunt of Saskatoon, SK passed away very suddenly at her home on April 6, 2016. Jenna was born on May 24, 1991 in Yorkton, SK, the daughter of Dennis and Rhonda Hunt. She grew up in Yorkton until the family moved to an acreage in the Rokeby area and then to the town of Saltcoats. She attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 2009. In 2010, Jenna moved to Saskatoon to live with her brother, Drew. While in Saskatoon she worked at Sobey's, for the Parks Department of the City of Saskatoon but found her career when she was hired by Ace Plumbing and Heating. She decided to follow in her Dad's footsteps and become a plumber. Jenna attended and completed three years of plumbing trade school and was looking forward to her fourth and final year and becoming a Journey person in the trade. In 2011, while working at the plumbing shop, she met the love of her life, Clayton Brule and their family became three with the addition of Copper, their beloved pug in early 2013. Jenna loved her time with Clayton learning to hunt and fish, playing softball and their weeks spent at the lake.  She loved anything Clayton loved, as it meant spending time with him. Jenna especially cared for and loved her family and friends. It became very evident that for every birthday, anniversary or gathering, there was one organizer and that person was Jenna. She cherished family events and made sure that nothing started until she arrived. If for some reason she was unable to be there, everyone knew that she would attend via face time. One visit to Jenna and Clayton's home truly showed how devoted she was to her family. Her walls were covered with pictures, mementos and sayings - all devoted to family. Pictures of Clayton, Copper and their families were always on display, bringing back memories and stories. She was also very excited to be a part of Connor and Lee's upcoming wedding. Clayton and Jenna were beside themselves with excitement and expectation as they announced to their family the arrival of Baby Brule in November of 2016. Anyone who knew Jenna knew that after some discussion, more often than not, she would get her way. One also knew that if they had Jenna as a friend, they had her as a friend for life.  She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her, but the memory of her laughter and personality will keep her alive. As for her families, a wound has been opened that cannot be closed as they long for a hug from her that can no longer be found. Jenna was predeceased by her grandfather, Victor Hunt and her special great-uncle, Bruno Neumeier. She leaves to celebrate her life, her loving partner, Clayton Brule and their puppy, Copper; her parents, Dennis and Rhonda Hunt; her siblings, Drew (Dawn and Jayden); Connor (Lee) and Sara; Clayton's parents, Wilfred and Brenda Brule; sister-in-law, Tasha (Eddie); grandparents, Beverly Hunt and Glen and Angela Brown as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from the Saltcoats Community Hall, Saltcoats, SK with Kathy Novak serving as the Funeral Celebrant. Words of tribute and eulogy were shared by Jenna's siblings, Drew, Connor and Sara Hunt. A letter to Jenna from her Mom and Dad was read by Walter Farquharson and a letter to Jenna from the Brule and Duke families was ready by Dennis Brule. Special Music included friends from the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite who sang, "Amazing Grace" and taped music selections, "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry, "When the Children Cry" by White Lion and the recessional music, "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers. The Interment Service followed in the Saltcoats Town Cemetery with Jerrid Doll, Matt Fraser, Mitch Datema, Craig Gettle, Riley Smith and Wade Ritchie serving as the casket bearers.  Friends so wishing may make donations in Jenna's memory to Epilepsy Canada (www.epilepsy.ca). Friends so wishing may forward their condolences to the family by visiting www.christiesfuneralhome.com.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Christie's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
