Ethel "Jean" Heinrich was born on August 23, 1941 in Saltcoats, SK and passed away on January 20, 2017 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Yorkton, SK. She was 75 years of age. Jean was the daughter of Sydney and Louisa (nee Maddaford) Oliver. She grew up and went to school in Saltcoats, SK. Jean was united in marriage to Joe Heinrich on November 12, 1960. The couple began their married life in Yorkton, until moving to Preeceville in 1964 where they began their family. The couple also lived in Strome, AB for a number of years. In later years, they enjoyed their summers at Crystal Lake and winters in Texas. Most recently, they shared their time between Crystal Lake and their home in Yorkton. Jean and Joe enjoyed travelling very much and shared that joy with their daughters, who have many wonderful memories of family vacations throughout Canada and the United States. Jean and Joe also had memorable trips to Hawaii, Europe and the Middle East. She loved being a homemaker and hostess and always welcomed family and friends into her home. She especially enjoyed visits from her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Some of her other interests included gardening, curling, golfing, sewing and crocheting. Jean loved, and was very proud of, her family. She leaves to celebrate her life, her best friend and loving husband of 56 years, Joe; her daughters, Carolyn (Miles) and Trudi (Tim); her granddaughter, Megan (Rance) and great-grandsons, Patrick and Maxwell. She also leaves to mourn her sister, May (Bob), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Reverend Deborah Smith of Westview United Church officiating. Words of tribute and eulogy were shared by Jean's nephew, Brent Bradford. The organist, Joleen Cherland, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Amazing Grace", "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace" and "In the Garden". The Cremation Committal followed in Yorkton Memorial Gardens, Garden of Memories columbarium, Yorkton, SK. Friends so wishing may forward their condolences to the family by visiting .
