Melvin Carl Fenske was born on January 26, 1943 in Yorkton, SK, the son of Herman and Dora Fenske. He passed away at his home on November 18, 2015. Melvin spent his early years on the farm with his mother and siblings. He moved to Yorkton to work where he met his future wife, Margaret. They got married in 1966, lived in Yorkton and were blessed with two children, Janet and Dwayne. Melvin worked at Morris Industries for many years until his retirement. Melvin was an outdoors man who loved fishing, hunting, gardening and helping out on the farm. He enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, Carter, Cassidy, Kaitlyn and Dawson. Melvin was always ready and willing to help others. He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Dora Fenske; his sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Jack Thompson; his brother-in-law, Lorne Quinton; his sister-in-law, Deanna Fenske; his step-brother, Harvey Bylsma and niece, Kym Fenske. Melvin leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his memory, his loving wife, Margaret; his daughter, Janet (Gary) Lake; his son, Dwayne (Lisa) Fenske and grandchildren, Carter Lake, Cassidy Lake, Dawson Lake and Kaitlyn Fenske; brothers, sister and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Melvin's wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. Friends so wishing may make donations in his memory to the Whitesand Regional Park.
