Lilian Ruth Fenske passed away on September 14, 2014 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Yorkton, SK. She was 91 years of age. Lilian was predeceased by her parents, Guz and Ann Henze; her sisters, Gertrude Schnurr, Annie Woodman, Claire Marvin, Irene Jones and her brothers, Werner Henze and Rudy Henze and her loving husband, Wilfred, to whom she was married for 66 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sharon (John) and Geraldine (Ralph); her grandchildren, Jason (Julie), Sharleen and Celina (Alex) and great-grandchildren, Parker and Brody. Lilian was born on June 13, 1923 in Preeceville, SK as the second youngest of five sisters and two brothers. She grew up on a farm in the Rockford area where she married Wilfred Fenske. Together, they farmed in Rockford for 35 years and in 1982 sold the farm and retired to Yorkton. Lilian enjoyed 32 years of retirement, cooking, gardening, camping and was especially fond of playing cards. She was also a member of the Ladies Legion Auxiliary. Lilian will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her. A Grave Side Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from the Yorkton City Cemetery, Yorkton, SK with Reverend Jen Dresser officiating.
