Rose Eftoda passed away suddenly on Saturday January 3, 2015 in her son, Tyler's arms at home. She was 60 years of age. Rose was born on March 26, 1954 in Yorkton, SK to Metro and Mary (nee Clouston) Gamracy. At the time of her passing she was employed as a care aide in a private care home in Yorkton where she showed her loving way with the senior ladies she looked after, she will be truly missed by them all. Rose met Mervin Eftoda when she was recovering from back surgery and in 1994 they were united in Matrimony. They farmed in the Wroxton-Calder District and in 2001 they sold the farms to Ducks Unlimited and moved to Calder. Rose & Mervin enjoyed taking their family fishing at Togo and Lake of the Woods. The most memorable fishing trip was when the Lions Club gave them a fishing trip to the Northern Lights Camp in northern Saskatchewan. Rose is predeceased by her husband, Mervin in August of 2008 and is survived by her sons, Tyler Eftoda and Blair Chyz. Funeral services were held on Friday January 9, 2015 from Kopan's Funeral Service, Yorkton with Jason Kopan serving as the Celebrant. The interment of Rose's and Mervin's cremated remains will follow at a later date.
