Mary lived her entire 82 years in the Hilltop district. She attended school there and was married in the St. John's Anglican Church. An active member of her community, throughout the years Mary was involved with the school, church, curling rink and seniors. Mary took pride in her children and their accomplishments throughout her life. Her grandchildren were a special part of her life as well and the great-grandchildren were her shining stars. She also held a special place in her heart for her wingless angel, Renée. Mary loved to garden and enjoyed feeding and watching her birds, especially the hummingbirds. Her home was always open for whoever wished to visit and enjoy a meal. An excellent baker, Mary's buns, cookies and pies will be missed by all who enjoyed them. Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her. A Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Reverend Luanne Hrywkiw officiating. Words of tribute and memory were shared by Mary's grandchildren. The organist, Lorne Neal, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden".
