Rosalie Dolney passed away suddenly in her home in Regina on February 18, 2014. Rosalie was born in Otthon, SK on July 20, 1922 to parents Martin and Mary Dolney. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters, Walter, Valentine, Henry, Bruce, Clarence, Helen, Angela, Lucy, Tilley and Mary. Rosalie was a long time resident in the Frontenac apartments. She worked for most of her career at Employment and Immigration Canada in Regina taking early retirement in 1985. She enjoyed travelling and collected pins from all the places she visited including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, England and Wales. Rosalie was an avid sports fan and spent many hours watching hockey and curling on TV. Rosalie's greatest enjoyment was talking on the phone to her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her many nieces, nephews and Greats. Prayers were held on Friday, February 28, 2014 from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton with Rev. Father Francis Hengen as the Celebrant. Pianist, Pamela Yaremko with members of the parish choir led the congregation in the singing of the hymns "You Are Near", "Psalm 23", "Come Home", "Amazing Grace", "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" and "Song of The Angels". Interment followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Rosalie may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as gifts of remembrance.
