Ronald Alexander Derbowka was born on May 1, 1942, in Yorkton, SK. He passed away on January 15, 2013 in Calgary, AB at the Salvation Army Hospice. He was born and raised near and around the Yorkton area. In 1966 he married Doreen Kostur and moved to Calgary in 1969. There he worked as an electrician for 25+ years. Ron was survived by two children: Brad, Carla (Rex), 5 grandchildren and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents (Ann and Alex Derbowka), 1 brother (Johnny), 5 sisters (Nettie, Victoria, Mary, Ann, and Katie) and 1 granddaughter. The interment took place in the Garden of Crucifixion at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Local arrangements entrusted to Baileys Funeral Home.
