Carol Anne Davis was born on September 1, 1952 in Yorkton, SK, the daughter of Robert and Tillie (nee Stiglitz) Stebner. She was baptized on November 6, 1953. She passed away on July 23, 2013 at 1:30 pm. She was 60 years of age. Carol's fully lived, but short life landed her in Saskatchewan where she married her husband, Brent Davis. Prior to this 21years of marriage, Carol had worked in a variety of jobs in her younger years but soon was a full time parent to her first daughter, Cindy Zarazun. Carol had another daughter, her second child ( predeceased), Charmaine Zarazun. Later in life when here daughters were grown, Carol had the opportunity to raise her granddaughter, Madison Zarazun. Before the age of 35, Carol found out she had Multiple Sclerosis. She struggled everyday and in between loving her family and striving for a pain free life, she received news that she had cancer. Carol had been able to travel to a third world country just in the last six years of her life. Out of her adventure she found her faith, Muslim. Also she had made many new friends there. She kept in touch with them all, and often said that they were like her second family. Carol loved to talk, no matter whether the conversation was through email, in person or on the phone. She was always a call away for any one to reach her. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Tillie and her daughter, Charmaine. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, husband Brent of Yorkton, SK; her daughter, Cindy of Halbrite, SK; her beautiful granddaughters, from the oldest to youngest, Sarah Zarazun (Tyler de Vries) of Yorkton, SK, Madison Zarazun of Regina, SK, Erica Zarazun of Vancouver, BC and Bryana Zarazun of Halbrite, SK. Carol was also a Great Grandma to Sarah's children, Carmen Mitchell and Dylan de Vries. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by not only her immediate family, but many other extended relatives, friends and neighbours. A Service to Celebrate Carol's life was held on Friday, August 2, 2013 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Kathy Novak serving as the Funeral Celebrant. Carol's granddaughter, Sarah Zarazun shared words of tribute in her Gramma's memory. All in attendance were also invited to reflect on their memories of Carol's life as a special taped music selection of "Wild Horses" by the Rolling Stones was played.
