Margaret Byski (nee Varga) was born on January 26, 1938 on the family farm in the Rokeby District of Saskatchewan. She attended Pebble Lake School, then went to work as a Nurses' Aide at the Yorkton Airport Hospital. She also worked at the Regina General Hospital, as well as hospitals in Melville and Yorkton. In 1982, Margaret took SIAST classes to become a Home Health Aide and worked for Home Care until her retirement in 2003. In the fall of 2004, Margaret was diagnosed with cancer, underwent surgery and radiation. In August of 2005, she moved into Victoria Court, where she resided until her passing. Margaret loved gardening, dancing and reading. Her favorite flowers were roses. She had 20 different varieties in her flower beds, and could be seen out in her yard, in the early morning tending to them. She was predeceased by her parents, Emrik and Helen and two brothers-in-law. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her sisters, Mariann Konan, Helen (Skip) Anderson and Elsie (Bill) Kulaway as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and good friends. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Father Francis Hengen officiating. The Cross Bearer was Karen Dunlop. Father Francis accompanied the congregation on guitar, in the singing of the hymns, "In The Garden", "Psalm 23", "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and "How Great Thou Art". The Interment Service followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with John Kaal, Wayne Kondra, Larry Konan, Kevin Kulaway, Kurtis Kulaway and Ken Kulaway serving as the casket bearers.
