Raymond (Ray) Henry Broda. January 19, 1943 to August 25, 2014, aged 71 years, of Kamsack, and formerly of Lumsden, SK; passed away peacefully at the Kamsack Hospital with family by his side. Ray was born to Joseph and Sophie Broda (nee Suwala) at St. Phillips, SK on January 19, 1943. He was the youngest of nine children, which brought a richness to his soul that would follow him throughout his lifetime. He loved life and the adventures he could find. His big heart, kindness and friendly demeanour enabled him to make new and lifelong friends where ever he went. This unique gift he demonstrated, allowed him to relocate many times throughout Saskatchewan, Manitoba, & Alberta. The career path he chose in sales and construction allowed his personable abilities to shine through with everyone he met as he loved being around others. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was proud of his family and his many accomplishments. He also took great pride in his yards, gardens and vehicles - which were always immaculate. His adventurous spirit took him throughout Europe, North America, Mexico, Â鶹´«Ã½AV America and most recently Texas where he spent the winter months. He shared his journeys with the love of his life, Patricia (nee Lachance), until she passed away in March 2013. Ray truly loved and lived life to the fullest until his body had become too tired to continue. Ray is survived by his loving daughters; Barb (Murray) Khadiken, Karen Coffey, Michelle Paetsch, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers; Cas (Marie) Broda, Ed (Nancy) Broda, Louis Broda, four sisters; Rosaline Broda, Josephine Cousin, Helen MacFarlane, Adeline (Emmanuel) Oystreck, in addition countless nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. He is predeceased by his wife Patricia, parents Sophie and Joseph Broda, parents-in-law Evelyn and Leon Lachance and additional loved family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial for Raymond Broda was held at 10:30 am, August 29th at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church - Kamsack SK; with Father Franklin Emereuwa officiating, Interment to follow at Yorkton Memorial Gardens.
