Patricia "Patsy" Broda, June 24, 1947 - March 22, 2013, aged 65 years, of Kamsack, Sk. and formerly of Lumsden, Sk., passed away peacefully at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre with her family by her side. Pat was born in Russell, Mb. to Leon and Evelyn LaChance (nee Rowen). As a young girl she attended Scared Heart Academy in Yorkton and after finishing high school completed business college at St. Michael's School in Brandon. In 1964, she met the love of her life Ray Broda while waitressing at Duck Mountain Provincial Park. Pat and Ray where married in San Clara, Mb., in 1965. During their married life, Pat loved to cook, sew, complete handy crafts, watch football and participate in book club. She also loved to entertain both family and friends. She loved to dance with her life partner. Pat and Ray were blessed with three children; Barb, Karen and Michelle. Together Pat and Ray loved to travel and found adventures taking them as far as Europe and other destinations throughout North America. In retirement, she and Ray found a new place to call home as snowbirds in Texas where they made countless friends they could consider family. Pat belonged to the "Red Hat Ladies Club' and participated in many groups and activities. Pat truly loved it there and found her happiness. She lived her life to the fullest until the very end. Pat is survived by her loving husband Ray, three daughters; Barb (Murray) Khadiken, Karen Coffey (Calvin), Michelle Paetsch, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers; Kelly (Martha) LaChance, Vince (Heather) LaChance, two sisters; Ella (Neal) McGinnis and Bernice (Bill) Andrusiak in addition countless nieces, nephews and loved ones. She is predeceased by her parents; Leon and Evelyn LaChance, her parents-in-law Joseph and Sophie Broda in addition to other loved family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia Broda was held at 11:00 a,m., March 27, 2013 at St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church - Yorkton, SK. with Father Francis Hengen and Father Brian Meredith officiating, interment at Yorkton Memorial Gardens.
