Linda Josephine (nee Kurucz). Linda Josephine Blum, 68, of Yorkton, SK unexpectedly but peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013. A small graveside memorial will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Esterhazy, SK, on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services are being generously provided by Parkview Funeral Chapel of Moose Jaw, SK. Linda was born in Esterhazy, SK on April 17, 1945. She spent most of her youth in the surrounding areas and in 1964, married Arty Blum, the love of her life. They went on to raise three beautiful daughters and loved spending their time together combining their shared love of family, friends and horses. You could always count on seeing Linda on the weekends at a rodeo or trail ride, laughing and enjoying life. 1977 took the family to Yorkton where Linda enjoyed going to work at Zellers Skillet and Holiday Inn restaurants. She loved to be around her regulars and always had a smile for new customers. Linda is survived by her daughters, Bobbie (Gord) Robinson, Victoria Hall and Treena (Trevor) Cameron, grandson Alex, step-grandson Cory, great-granddaughter Hailey, her brother Barry (Karmen) Kurucz, brother-in-law Ron (Madelene) Blum, and her sister-in-law Marlene (Kevin) Fulawka. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Thelma Kurucz, her husband Arty, and her granddaughter Kaleena. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Yorkton Humane Society / SPCA, 7th Ave S, Yorkton, SK, S3N 2V6, would be appreciated. The family of Linda Blum wishes to thank the staff of Yorkton Hospital, as well as all of her friends and staff at the Gladstone Seniors Residence for caring for her and telling us the wonderful stories of their memories during times spent together.
