The family of Eunice Bilokreli sadly announce her passing in Saskatoon on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Eunice was born in Theodore, SK and was one of nine children. She enjoyed a happy childhood growing up in rural Saskatchewan. She received her elementary education in Theodore and completed her high school in Yorkton. After completing high school she moved to Saskatoon to pursue a business and secretarial program. She was employed at Intercontinental Packers and the Saskatoon City Police. Following completion of a course in accounting, Eunice began to work in the engineering department at City Hall. Eunice was a dedicated employee who was committed to both her work and personal interests. She was an accomplished pianist and played in the Theodore United Church for many years. She was also a member of the church choir. Eunice loved to travel and her adventurous spirit took her all over the world. She visited many countries including France, England, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Switzerland, Bahamas, Hong Kong, Tangiers, Australia and New Zealand. Her favourite holiday spot was Honolulu and she vacationed there every winter for many years. Eunice was predeceased by her parents, Frances and Nickolas Bilokreli; brothers, Edward, Murray, Walter, Mike and Rudy and sister, Helen. She is survived by brothers, John of Theodore and Jim of Yorkton as well as many other family and friends. The family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers from Home Instead for the many hours they spent with Eunice. She truly enjoyed the outings and coffee time and looked forward to the time spent with these special friends. The family also would like to acknowledge the excellent care that Eunice received while she was a resident at St. Joseph's Care Home. Many special thanks to the staff and caregivers on East One at Parkridge that cared for Eunice with dignity and compassion until her passing. A Private Family Service will be held in Theodore at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Eunice's memory to the Alzheimer's Society (1405 Faulkner Cres, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 3R5) or the Theodore United Church (Box 415, Theodore, SK, S0A 4C0).
