Orest Bilokraly

Mr. Orest Bilokraly of Yorkton, beloved husband of Jean Bilokraly passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. He was 83 years of age. Orest was born on January 17, 1932 at Theodore, SK; a son of Mike and Mary Bilokraly. He attended the Calderville School in Theodore and later at Invermay. As a young man he worked at various jobs within Saskatchewan. In 1956 he met and married the love of his life, Jean. After an accident at an oilfield in Weyburn, he took photography, went back to school to become a steam engineer and took a job in Yorkton at the Yorkton Union Hospital, where he worked until his retirement in 1994. Orest was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, camping, fishing and archery. He greatly enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Mary. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, his loving wife of 58 years, Jean; his four children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren - Orville (Gail): Elisha (Aiden, Trysten & Lydia), Tye, April (Hailey), Dawn (Curt & Takeshia) and Dustin; Brian; Roger (Cindy): Roxanne, Samantha (Jared), Reg & Sid and Michelle (Jim): Matthew (Kayla), Alex (Hailey). Also three brothers: Edwin (Myrtle), Stanley (Noel) and Allan (Jean) and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Rev. Jen Dresser of St. Andrew's United Church officiating. The hymns, 'Here My Song Lord', 'I Believe', 'How Great Thou Art' and 'Whispering Hope' were included in the service. Son, Roger conveyed tributes and reflections on behalf of the family. The interment followed in the Garden of St. Luke at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with grandchildren, Matt, Samantha, Alex, Tye, Elisha and Wayne serving as the casket bearers. Memorials in Orest's name may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, 4101 Dewdney Ave. Regina, SK,  S4T 7T1 as tokens of remembrance. Condolences may be sent to the family at .
