Albert Bauche was born in Grande Clariere, MB on March 14, 1923 to Louis and Louisa Bauche. He attended school in Antler and Bellgarde, SK, later attending Normal School in Regina and eventually the University of Saskatchewan. He began teaching in a one room school house. It was in Cupar that he met the love of his life, Jacquie Bell. On July 22, 1952 they were married in Regina. They had four children, Gisele, Dean, Brian and Lisa. They worked and raised their children in Eastend, Saskatoon, Frontier and Yorkton. They made many close friends and lifelong companions in each community in which they lived. Albert and Jacquie were highly respected educators and made a deep impression on many of their students over the years. Both lived and passed on a deep faith to all their children. Albert was committed and active in Pro Life and the Knights of Columbus. When Albert retired he became known as an exceptional artist and an accomplished water colourist. In 1996 Jacquie and Albert moved to Saskatoon and took up residence in Columbian Manor where they made many friends and settled close to their children and their families. Albert's loving wife Jacquie died in 2003. He carried on with the support of his children in gratitude and with a determined spirit for the past ten years. He lived life fully with a deep love for creativity, art, music and drama. He was dynamic, witty, generous and a loving, devoted father and husband. His wife, children and grandchildren were the center of his life. We thank God for the gift of his life and rejoice in how we have been loved and inspired by his integrity, artist spirit, and deep faith in God.
