In the summer of 2012, in commemoration of his 57 years of service to Canada, Glenn was presented with the Diamond Jubilee Medal by Command of Her Majesty The Queen. As a young man, Glenn enjoyed playing many sports, especially curling, and later in life, he loved to play golf with his sons, sister, brother-in-law and many friends. In his spare time, he and his family enjoyed travelling throughout Canada and the United States. Glenn and Grace also travelled to India many times to celebrate joyous occasions with Grace's family.
