Wilburt Clement Anderson, beloved husband of Janice of Yorkton, passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on September 12, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Wilburt was born on October 29, 1927, on the family farm south of Stenen, the eldest son of Axel and Violet Anderson. As a young boy, he attended Liverpool School. Wilburt was an avid farmer and took pride in the fact that he was able to take over the family farm. He met Janice Bogucky and they were married on October 29, 1955. Together they carried on the tradition of a grain and cattle operation that Wilburt's father had. Wilburt loved the idea of plowing for hours, combining day and night for days on end, and looking for the next deal on the latest John Deere tractor. He also enjoyed going to auction sales seeking farm machinery, car lots for the newest truck model and touring the countryside for harvesting tips. Known for his warm soul, he will be missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. Wilburt was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Violet, and his sister Betty Vodden. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice, who stood by his side for 58 years; his son Byron Anderson of Regina; daughters: Ardith Anderson of Calgary and Shaunna (Dale) Auramenko of Yorkton; grandchildren: Caitlan of Calgary and Kyle of Yorkton; and his sisters: Jeanette (Cliff) Ratzliff of Abbotsford, BC, Lorraine (Matt) German of Calgary, AB, Adeline (Bill) Fedyk of Calgary, AB, and Helen Anderson of Abbotsford, BC. A Private Family Graveside Service was held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Covenant Church Cemetery.
