The Preeceville School hosted an appreciation breakfast that showed its gratitude and appreciation to the many volunteers who helped with the Breakfast Café on June 24 when organizers prepared a hot breakfast that followed the Canada Food Guide.

F/Sgt. Tessa Rehaluk was named cadet of year during the Preeceville Harvard Air Cadet Squadron’s annual review at the Preeceville Legion Hall on June 17. Rehaluk was also presented the award for senior female proficiency.

The Assiniboine Beef and Multi 4-H Club hosted its first ever achievement day on June 12, when the achievements of club members and their animal project were on display. The event was hosted at the farm of Nathan and Megan Maier of Preeceville.

Preeceville action committee formed to raise funds for doctor recruitment

The Preeceville and District Health Action Committee has been formed within the community for the permanent and ongoing needs for doctor recruitment and retention.

Charity Golf Classic buys $76,103 of medical equipment

The 17th Annual Charity Golf Classic, held at Yorkton June 11 and 12, was a huge success with golfers and sponsors raising enough money to buy 12 pieces of medical equipment for eight facilities in the region.

The Crossroads Credit Union acknowledged Kindergarten to Grade 5 students at the Sturgis Elementary school for their achievements throughout the school year. Doreen Bochniuk, Credit Union representative, made the presentations on June 16.
