OUTLOOK - One of the riverside community's most cherished events is set to return this week, ringing in the holiday season in colourful, festive style.

The 5th annual Winter Wonderland holiday lights and displays event is returning to the Outlook & District Regional Park starting with two walk-thru nights on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14, which will kick off the fan favorite attraction with music, hot chocolate & treats, and even a visit from Santa Claus himself. Sales from the hot chocolate will benefit local basketball programs and the Small Steps Early Learning Centre.

In addition, both of those nights will also offer horse drawn carriage rides around the park.

After the two walk-thru nights, the drive-thru portion of the event will run from December 15-23, offering nine other nights to gather some family and friends and take them on a tour of the popular event down in the park.

Funds and donations that are collected at the gate each evening will go right back into the park.

Taking into account the total amounts raised from previous years, the Winter Wonderland event has collectively raised over $38,732.92.
