Shopping spree supports Outlook food bank

A mad dash across the grocery aisles was all in support of a good cause in Outlook.

OUTLOOK - Outlook resident Cara Drury got a bit of a workout in on Thursday morning, February 29 when she found herself zipping around AG Foods in support of the Outlook & District Food Bank.

Originally, Lauren and Catherine Featherby were the lucky winners of a 50-second shopping spree at the store, a prize from the Great Grocery Giveaway sweepstakes. However, they decided to donate their prize to the local food bank, meaning it was up to Cara to fill her shopping cart with as many items as possible in just under a minute. When all was said and done, Drury came away with approximately $200 in groceries, namely case lot goods that she was grateful to grab, which will give the food bank a sturdy supply of items in which to help fill the shelves.

Gail Borsa and Esther Henderson of the Outlook & District Food Bank joined Cara for a photo after she had 'raided' the store, all for a good cause.
