BRODERICK - For longtime local artist Susan Robertson, she may have finally found the perfect location to craft her wares and realize her creative vision as she opened her brand new art gallery in the village of Broderick on Saturday afternoon, September 18.
Welcoming a large crowd, Susan was joined by Broderick mayor Arlin Simonson in cutting the ceremonial ribbon to begin the day's festivities, where Robertson noted how proud she was to open the new gallery and start this "new beginning" of her creative ventures.
Joined by family and friends, Robertson played the role of tour liaison as she led people around the new gallery, giving visitors a glimpse into her process and a look at how her creations come to life. The tour must have done the trick for a good number of those present, as the register was then quite busy for the rest of the afternoon.
The new location is much more expansive than the original Outlook location, allowing Robertson quite a bit more room to put together her artistic creations, of all shapes and sizes. Guests were welcome to take home mystery bags with all sorts of arts and crafts contained within, giving people a taste of what Robertson's gallery has to offer.
