Congratulations are in order for Davidson School student Johan Bezuidenhout, who wrestles with the Outlook High School Blues wrestling team. Johan won the 130 kg Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association (SHSAA) Men's Wrestling Provincial Championship over the March 8-9 weekend at the University of Regina.

The strong young man showed skill, determination, sportsmanship and respect during the season and he also earned a team gold in the 3A men's division, despite being a team of only one.

In addition to Johan's impressive accomplishments, Outlook High School's own Lena Mckenzie captured the silver medal at the Saskatchewan Wrestling Association's provincials held on March 15. She also collected a certificate for being the Most Valuable Player in representing the Outlook Wrestling Club. Mckenzie displayed some impressive maneuvers and fought through some tough battles in her first competitive season, showing that OHS may be potentially a breeding ground for some additional great wrestlers in the coming years.

Wrestling coaches Lloyd and Taebyn Tulp were exceptionally proud of their proteges as the season came to a close.
