CRAIK - The Kenaston Blizzards are the newest Provincial 'D' Champions after besting the Craik Warriors in their three-game series, with the final coming on Saturday night, March 26 at the Pillar Dome in Craik.
The journey for both teams making it to the provincial final saw Craik defeat the rosters from Lucky Lake, Kyle, and Foam Lake, while the Blizzards bested the teams from Macklin and Edam.
The series saw Kenaston and Craik trade victories before the third and final game, and when all was said and done, it was the Blizzards who would go home with the provincial trophy, marking it as nearly ten years to the day since their last provincial championship.
The Kenaston Blizzards roster consists of Brett Lewchuk, Connor Gay, Jordan Tkatch, Jaimen Yakubowski, Garrett Bembridge, Logan McVeigh, Mike Prpich, Leighton Jewell, Parker Thomas, Evan Zdunich, Eric Asbjornhus, Michael Haugen, Jay Dubyk, Dawson George, Lucas Ringdal, Monty Zdunich, Jackson Firby, Colby Haugen, Nolan Haugen, Greg Moir, and Chase Norrish.
