Bikes galore as Ride for Dad roars into Outlook

The riverside community went 'hog wild' as a cavalcade of bikes motored into the town of Outlook.

OUTLOOK - The engine roars could be heard everywhere and everyone could likely smell that familiar scent of exhaust that hung in the air.

The Saskatoon Motorcycle Ride for Dad tour came barreling down Highway 15 and made its way into Outlook on Saturday afternoon, June 17, stopping at the Jim Kook Rec Plex for a burger lunch, refreshments, and a time of relaxation before hopping on the hogs again to take off back to the city, concluding their Ride Day event.

Dozens upon dozens upon dozens of bikes filled the parking lot of the rink upon their arrival, and the food courtesy of AG Foods was just what the bikers needed after their commute, which started in Saskatoon and ventured onto Highway 7 en route to Rosetown before making its way to Highway 15 and Outlook being the destination ahead.

The riverside community was happily willing to serve as the large group's pit-stop locale, and the riders were grateful for the lunch and hospitality shown to them.

Though these are only preliminary numbers, the organization said that this year's Ride for Dad event featured 250 riders and raised approximately $80,000 in the fight against prostate cancer.
