Dear Editor:This is an open letter to the residents of Yorkton and Springside and surrounding communities thanking them for their participation in the 2010Heart&StrokeJump Rope for Heart(TM) andHeart&StrokeHoops for Heart(TM) programs.

Through the dedication of students, staff andthiscommunity,youraised $11, 424.56 to help fund research and save lives in your community.By participating in the Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart programs, these schools have demonstrated their commitment, not only to save lives through the research dollars raised, but to keep their children, healthy, happy and active for many years to come!Thank you to the schools, their students, administration and staff who have shown such selfless dedication .We also would like to extend our deepest and sincere thanks to the community at large for their continued support. Thelife-savingwork of the HeartandStrokeFoundation depends onyour continuedgenerosity.

Please alsojoin us in extending special thanks to the dedicated school coordinators who stand shoulder to shoulder with us in our fight to end heart disease and stroke. They connect with their students in a way that teaches the power of personal choiceandempowersstudents to embrace a lifetime of healthy habits. They bring the passion, imagination, and fun to the Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart programs, to these Dedicated Hearts we say Thank You!
