The Yorkton Storm Speed Swim Club presented it's annual awards at its recent year end barbecue.
Connor Watrych was presented with the "Spirit of Swimming" Award, this award is presented to a swimmer that is experiencing success and works hard at all practices; Jessica Sanftleben, of Melville, was presented with the "Golden Goggle" Award.
This award is presented to a swimmer that experiences a high degree of success with the club and is seen as a leader amongst the swimmers and coaches on the team.
Sanftleben was one of three swimmers that qualified for ManSask this season. She graduated from Melville Comprehensive High School this past June and will be attending the University of Regina this fall.
While at university she will be swimming with the University of Regina Cougars Swim Team.
Jillian Just and Brittany Morgan (not pictured), were co-recipients of the "Ironwoman" Award.
The winners of this award are present at all practices and push themselves at all times.
Jacob Baker received the clubs "Most Improved Swimmer" Award this season.
Jacob, 12, continued to improve upon his times at all of the meets he attended this year.
At year's end he was on the verge of recording an "A" time which would allow him to take part in the Provincial Swim Meet for the first time next year.
