The annual York Lake Ladies tournament sponsored by Judy Hughes - On Trac Consulting was held on Tuesday, July 29, with 78 ladies taking part.
The nine-hole, two person modified scramble format continues to be popular and it attracting a number of new golfers not normally competing in tournament play.
In order to accept a larger number of entries this year there were two tee-times. Twenty ladies played their round at 1:30p.m. with the remaining 58 teeing off at 5:30p.m.
The Championship Flight was won by Cathy Inglis and Erin Trowell with a score of 38. Come in a close second were runners-up Shelley Whitehawk and Norinne Cote shooting a 39.
Winners of the other flights were: First flight - Judy Hughes and Theresa Desnomie-Fiddler (45) on a count back over runners up Joann Zapshalla and Helene Buckle. Second flight - Pat Thompson and Michelle Kennedy (47) also on a count back over Judy Schultz and Marilyn Schwitzer. Third flight - Jean Dierker and Darlene Onslow (50) on a count back over Maureen McLaughlin and Barb Atkinson. Fourth Flight - Shirley O'Boyle and Jose Arsenault (53) over runners up Linda Miller and Ingrid Appel.
