The Yorkton Yankees left the Grandview Lakers in their dust at the team鈥檚 first home game of the season.

The Yankees scored a comfortable victory over the Lakers, nabbing a 15-1 victory on Jun. 3 at Jubilee Park.

鈥淲e came out swinging,鈥 said coach Mark Jacobs. 鈥淸We scored] an early lead.鈥

The Yankees have achieved a record of three wins and two and one tie losses since their season began on May 14.

鈥淚t鈥檚 early,鈥 Jacobs said. 鈥淭here鈥檚 some rust to shake off.鈥

On Tuesday, the Yankees faced their toughest opponent yet: the Langenburg Legends.

鈥淸We have to] play the best game of our season,鈥 Jacobs said before the game.

That game ended in a 3-3 tie.

The Yankees鈥 next game is against the Back Forty Brewers on Jun. 11 at 8 p.m. in Yorkton.
