The Yorkton Yankees left the Grandview Lakers in their dust at the team鈥檚 first home game of the season.
The Yankees scored a comfortable victory over the Lakers, nabbing a 15-1 victory on Jun. 3 at Jubilee Park.
鈥淲e came out swinging,鈥� said coach Mark Jacobs. 鈥淸We scored] an early lead.鈥�
The Yankees have achieved a record of three wins and two and one tie losses since their season began on May 14.
鈥淚t鈥檚 early,鈥� Jacobs said. 鈥淭here鈥檚 some rust to shake off.鈥�
On Tuesday, the Yankees faced their toughest opponent yet: the Langenburg Legends.
鈥淸We have to] play the best game of our season,鈥� Jacobs said before the game.
That game ended in a 3-3 tie.
The Yankees鈥� next game is against the Back Forty Brewers on Jun. 11 at 8 p.m. in Yorkton.
