The Yorkton United U12 Chelsea soccer team traveled to Swift Current this past weekend May 28-30 to compete in a tournament. Yorkton dropped their first round robin game to Coaldale Thunder 6-1.
The U12 Chelsea then rebounded as they defeated Moose Jaw 2-1 and A.C.F.C. Pumas of Regina 7-0 to finish off their round robin. With a record of 2-1 they advanced to the final to face Coaldale Thunder onceagain. The game was a lot closer than their first meeting but Yorkton came up short losing 3-1.
The loss in the final earned the U12 Chelsea the silver medals in their first tournament of the outdoor season.
