On June 20 and 21, the Supers won a pair of 麻豆传媒AVeast Senior Baseball League (SESBL) games against the Back Forty Brewers, but the road to victory was very different in the two contests.

On June 20 the Supers were in Yorkton to take on the Brewers. After a wild first inning where each team scored five runs, the game was all Supers from that point on in a 24 to 8 victory.

Dylan Toffan went the distance for the Supers, pitching seven innings to pick up the win. He allowed eight runs but only four were earned as a couple fielding miscues in the first inning led to four unearned runs, said Greg Andreychuk, player/manager.

Six players had multi-hit games for the visitors. Ian Quewezance led the way with three singles, a double, a home run and six runs batted in (RBI). Toffan, Kholton Shewchuk and Logan Parachoniak each had three hits, while Sean Kolodziejski and Jorden Cherewyk contributed two hits apiece.

鈥淭he win guaranteed the Supers would finish no lower than fourth in the standings and would get home field advantage in round one of the playoffs,鈥 said Andreychuk.

The following evening the Brewers visited the Supers in Canora. It was a much different game as runs were hard to come by in a 3 to 1 Supers victory.

Once again a Supers pitcher went the distance in a complete game as Kholton Shewchuk only allowed one run on three hits and six strikeouts to pick up the win.

All three of the Supers runs came via the long ball.

鈥淟ogan Parachoniak put the Supers ahead with a first-inning solo home run,鈥 said Andreychuk. 鈥淚n the bottom of the third, Kholton Shewchuk sent a two run shot over the fence to give the Supers a 3 to 1 lead.鈥

That was the end of the scoring for the game.

The Supers only managed four hits on the evening.

鈥淚an Quewezance continued his great season with a single and more fine defensive plays at shortstop,鈥 said Andreychuk. 鈥淛orden Cherewyk had our only other base hit.鈥

After the two wins, the Supers record jumped to eight wins and four losses on the season.
