The Yorkton Regional High School is holding sideline Gridders Cheer tryouts on Monday, June 10 at the YRHS gym from 4-5 p.m. for age 9-11. Registration forms can be picked up at the YRHS student services or from some elementary schools in Yorkton.


Inspired by the YRHS, Kevin Doherty, the minister of Parks, Culture, and Sport of Saskatchewan, has declared Wednesday, June 5 "Walk and Roll" day. Students are strongly encouraged to walk, bike, or skate to school.


Special Olympics is holding an open house on Thursday, June 13 from 6-9 p.m. at Main Hall, St. Gerard Roman Catholic Church, 125 3rd Avenue North. The event is designed to raise awareness in the Yorkton area.
