On Saturday, April 27, GSSD track and field stars will be taking part in the in the annual Showcase Meet at the Flexi Hall in the Gallagher Centre. The athletes participating in the event had to advance to it by finishing in the top 18 of their respective gender category at the Standard's Meet on April 17-18. Also joining these athletes are GSSD grade 7 and 8 students who wish to participate in high jump, triple jump, shot put, 50 m hurdles, and the 1500 M.
On April 24 from 7:00-8:30 p.m., the Saskatchewan Roughriders' team doctor, James Fraser, will be speaking at the Anne Portnuff Theatre on cancer prevention.
In April 17's edition of Yorkton This Week, there was an error in the Yorkton Terrier brotherly love piece. The Norrish's brothers names are Chase and Brady, not Dylan and Brady. It was originally written correctly in the first paragraph, but was incorrect in two different instances.
